Cattle Egret at Lurgangreen

The great run of rare birds at Lurgangreen/Blackrock continues today with the finding of a Cattle Egret by P.K.Also found tonight a Black Brant,seen also the 2 Avocets.Pics of the Cattle Egret will be up later on this site.

2 Avocets at Lurgangreen and Great White Egret

Today at Lurgangreen E.L. refound the Great White Egret in the deep channels when the tide was out,also at the same site 2 Avocets were seen.They were still their until 7 pm. until a Peri/falcon came along to have a go at a hooded crow and some Brent.

 COMMON CRANE  AT  BEAULIEU POND SEEN FIRST  ON 18TH MARCH  AND TODAY IN PLOUGHED FIELDS WEST OF THE POND BEFORE FLYING ACROSS THE BOYNE  AND HEADING EAST.A FIRST RECORD FOR LOUTH.
