Lesser black backed gull Intermedius type with colour ring.

This bird was seen in front of hide at Lurgangreen Hide yesterday. Very dark bid with grey  blue ring on left leg.

GREEN WINGED TEAL AT SEABANK

A GREEN WINGED TEAL WAS FOUND TODAY BY P.KELLY . IT WAS SEEN ABOUT 12 NOON  ON A HIGH TIDE AT THE NORTH END OF SEABANK .
ALSO AT HERMITAGE A MALE VELVET SCOTER AND 2 SHORT EARED OWLS IN THE FIELDS AT THE NORTH END OF CRUIESTOWN BEACH ALSO SEEN BY P. KELLY......

 A male and female Velvet Scoter at Hermitage plus Adult Ring billed gull at Cruiestown. At Lurgangreen quality Pinkfeet in the fields.

The Spoonbill first seen sunday morning at sea going north at Hermitage was refound at Seabank on monday.It was also seen today at Seabank feeding at the nor.th end

Also the Surfscoter was seen in late afternoon at the same site.

Ring billed gull at Cruiestown.

 The adult  Ring billed gull was again in the fields on the north end of Cruiestown beach.And  A  colour ringed Black headed gull light green right leg was noted and a  small tern on the beach could be the Forsters tern.A Merlin  showed well in front of the Lurgangreen hide.In the garden at Clogher head a male Blackcap and a few Goldcrest were seen today.Hermitage had a Surf Scoter.

Osprey seen again

The Osprey was seen again today at 1pm at Seabank to Annagassan also 2 Black Swans  were just north of Annagassan.At Blackrock main  beach 4 Artic Skuas were having fun with some Terns.

BALTIC GULL AT DUNDALK DOCKS ???

A   POSSIBLE  ADULT   BALTIC/INTERMEDIUS TYPE  LESSER  BLACK BACK GULL WAS AT DUNDALK DOCKS ON TUESDAY 19TH.DUE TO THE LATENESS OF THE SIGHTING THE LIGHT WAS TOO BAD FOR A PHOTO.
THE BIRD WAS VERY DARK AS DARK AS G.B.B.G. WIT,H ALL DARK PRIMARIES EXCEPT FOR ONE SHOWING A WHITE TIP JUST UNDER LOWER TERTIAL,LONG WINGS ,LONGISH NARROW BILL.
THIS BIRD WAS LOOKED FOR TONIGHT WITHOUT ANY LUCK.

A BLACK TERN ADULT PASSED NORTH TODAY AT CLOGHER HEAD PLUAS 2 ARTIC SKUAS ,7 FULMARS AND A FEW MANX SHEARS.
2 MORE ARTIC SKUAS PASSED CLOSE IN AT HERMITAGE.
1 OSPREY FLEW SOUTH AT SEABANK.

At Clogher head harbour yesterday a Black restart female was seen around the rocks at the harbour wall also in the same area a Purple sandpiper was noted.
